		<description>I wholeheartedly agree, though I don&#039;t mind the NIV so much, and am taking a closer look at the ESV.  Professors at Calvin College called the NIV the New International Perversion, I suppose they just didn&#039;t like &quot;Dynamic Equivalence&quot;, which the ESV tries to avoid.

At any rate, it is absolutely ludicrous to believe that God the Holy Spirit needs a Magazine style Bible in order to convert hearts.

Not that any of this is actually put together by theologians, rather it is dreamt up by publishers looking for more ways to make money.

I read about the Green Bible over at the Acton Institute, where they were also describing Zondervan&#039;s 5000 mile Bible tour in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the NIV.  I wonder if the Green Bible will have a similar tour?  Only in an electric or hybrid vehicle, of course.</description>
