Some have deemed him "Satan Clause." It's very sad that a "so-called" holiday that thought to be all about Christ is become what it is. However, Christmas is not "all about Christ," in fact, its origin has nothing to do with Christ, its origin hast to do with the birth of a pagan sun god. And, it's so slyly mixed in now as the birth of "the Son of God". As much as Christmas is commercialized and is worldly and takes away from Christ, it really has nothing to do with Christ. And that's what the world does, that's what Satan does, is mix in "Christianity" or "religion" with his schemes to make them seem good, just as he did with Christ quoting Him Scripture when he was tempting Him in the wilderness in Matt. 4. Bless the Lord, I have always felt this way and have even been condemned for feeling this way. I believe with all my heart that we should not start a pattern with our children, if we lie they will lie. I have raised 2 children and still have 3 at home and none of them have been feed the illusion of Santa Claus and still to this day my mother will sign packages Santa Claus.
