A homeschool family
Thanks to David & Elizabeth Wiebe for this one. hAVINg bin ‘ohmeSCHOULED myself, i seen the WURST and the best of em…
And, let me know what you think of homeschooling. Good? Bad? ‘Orrible? I’d be interested to know how many of you were home-schooled.

I was homeschooled as well. What a blessing to be able to combine the blessings of home, learning, family, and the Lord all in one unit!
Since we are discussing this A homeschool family : Frozen Preacher, phenomenon, What about the “Real World”, is the question usually asked of parents who are looking to home school there children. How will they know how to accept and get along with a racial and ethnic divergent society? After all in public education they are (rightly so) tossed together for the public good. I don’t believe race or ethnicity should ever be a barrier to living. But, I do believe that misbehaved, unbehaved, need some parental counseling and the public school system will not allow this.
i was also home schooled when i was younger and it is also a great weay to get your education.’.*

After 15 years of homeschooling our five children, we have heard it all. Dr. Jim Berg in his book “Changed Into His Image”(in my opinion one of the best books I have ever read on Sanctification), addresses the question,”If you teach these young people in a totally Christian environment, how will they be able to function in the real world?” The fact is that if a Christian home, church, and school have done their job well and the sutdent has learned well, he may be one of the few on the earth who understands the real world. Reality is that there is a God in heaven. Reality is that He made us accountable to Him. Reality is that God has spoken and what He says matters-eternally. Reality is that without salvation, we are doomed to eternal torment. Reality is that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, has died for the sins of the world, that He has risen again and that whoever believes on Him is given eternal life. Everyone else in the world is experiencing a “break with reality.” (Changed Into His Image- Pg.113) Acts 17:28 “For in him we live, and move, and have our being.” A reality without Christ is an illusion, and a deception, wherever that “reality” is pushed, i.e. the public school, churches, television,or in pop culture obsessed society. Homeschooling is just another opportunity to”nurture” our kid’s in a biblical reality. Thanks for letting me rant. God bless you brother as you seek to glorify Him.
